Our data privacy policy and procedures have been updated to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

LO-FI Merchandise will ensure that your personal information is treated with the utmost respect and in accordance with laws defined within the country of our incorporation.

 

Collection and storage of data:

Our website can be visited without registration. However data such as pages which have been viewed or the name of the file called up, date, time and IP address are collected for technical reasons and stored in log files on our provider’s server.

For example we use IP recognition to determine which country our users are visiting our store from, in order to show customers prices and shipping costs relevant to their location and to pre-complete fields in the checkout to ensure accuracy and for our customers convenience.

This anonymous data is stored separately from any personal data with which you may provide us and therefore allows no identification of a certain person

 

The Personal data collected are used to provide the user with services or to sell goods, including payment and possible delivery.

After your order has been processed or your customer account has been closed, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted upon expiry of the retention period required under tax and commercial law.

 

If you sign up for our newsletter, we use the required information, which you provide specifically for this purpose, to send you our email newsletter regularly as per your consent. You have the right to request a copy of the data we have stored in relation to your order and further transmit that data to a different controller. See below for contact information.

 

We also use tracking pixels on our stores to gather anonymous non-identifiable data of our users online browsing behaviour. This data is used for analytics purposes (for example, but not limited to, Google Analytics) to enable us to track the performance of our stores in order to make future improvements to our customers online shopping experience.

Security & Right to be Forgotten

Your information will not be sold, distributed or leased to a third party and will remain securely in our system. In certain instances there are services to which data may be transmitted via Secure SSL or TLS connections to enable fulfilment of orders, including but not limited to:

We do not store your credit card or netbanking details. All monetary processing and transactions are done through a secure third party payment gateway that is GDPR compliant.

For contract purposes only your name and address must be passed on to the goods supplier to enable delivery of the goods, including but not limited to: International postal services, DHL, Fedex, UPS

 

Your customer account can be deleted at any time. This can be requested by sending us a message (see contact information below).

 

Google Analytics anonymisation is active. Google shortens IP addresses which makes it impossible for conclusions to be drawn about your identity.

 

Cookies

A cookie is a small data file, which is stored temporarily or permanently on your device (e.g. a computer or a smartphone) within the web browser, when certain web pages are visited. Cookies are not intended to contain or collect information in isolation, but when read by a server via a web browser, they can give information to facilitate a more user friendly service by collecting information on, among other data, preferences (such as a language preference), detect errors and/or collect data for statistics. Data Breach

A data breach may result in a risk for the rights and freedoms of individuals, due to which in case of data breach we would notified in a timely manner. A notification would be sent within 72 hours of first becoming aware of a breach.
